The NBA Lockout
Will we be able to have a NBA season this year at all? I hope so, do to the fact
that basketball is my favorite sport and that the Lakers are my favorite team! Even though
once settle the ones who will win here are the players and owners. The lockout plays a
huge factor on the people, community, and our economy because a lot of people are
without jobs while both sides aren't able to come to a solution. The longer that this lockout stays at a halt, then I can honestly say that many people are going to loose interest in the sport of basketball.
One main issue is that the players want more resolution to their needs and the owners really don't want to loose more on top of what they are already loosing. Without both parties coming to an agreement, we will not be able to have a basketball season to watch and a team to cheer for. Why is it so hard for them to come to an agreement? Some might think that it's greed, and some probably just don't care much about the situation. I can say one thing though; I do care because watching a basketball game with my team to cheer for is one of my favorite things to do!
