The National Basketball Association (NBA) and the National Football League (NFL) have many things in common as well as their differences. Some ways they are similar is they both are watched by millions but one sport more than the other. The ways they are different is that the NFL has the most views because of scheduling. Although the NBA is watched by some people, their games days are inconvenient for the viewers. The ways that they are the same is that they both have seasons in which the game is played.
The ways the NBA is different from the NFL is that the NFL has a better scheduling system where it’s convenient to the viewers. The NBA has many games on different days and some of them aren’t seen. While on the other hand the NFL has one day that everyone knows, Sunday. It’s convenient and it’s planned to watch because of all the tailgates and the preshow. The NBA is less watched because of its inconvenient timing while the NFL has the right timing. While the NBA has some good games, people always look forward to watching the super bowl, playing fantasy football, and hanging with friends to root on the favorite team at tailgates.
The NFL is watched more than the NBA. The NFL’s scheduling time is on every Sunday, in the fall and winter seasons. “It appears to be the perfect mix of convenience and anticipation”, (Dave Deckard, Blazersedge). You know when it’s going to come on and you know days in advance. There are also pre- game shows which pump you up for the game or you can tailgate with your friends or other people who share the same favorite team as you. As in the NBA, they might have some games on days people might have to work.
