Executive Summary
Avon Company is a multinational company that have its subsidiaries in many countries including North America, Europe, Asia and African. As a diverse multinational company that manages a global work force and a global market, The Company needs to put different cultural factors into consideration, in order to enhance the global competitiveness and effectiveness of the organisation.
This report work is divided into different parts; the first part is the introduction, which introduces the idea of the report work in general and how different issues mention in the case study will be solved. Part two is the Main body ie literature review and Analysis , which examine the Avon’s strategic international human resources practice in global markets, regarding development of its global management cadre, HCNs, and building company associates and independent representatives in host countries, and this is basically the strategic human resources management , which is recruitment and selection, training and development.etc. And which was discussed accordingly.
And also there is a description of how Avon business strategy has change in light of demographic and social change in the home and host country and various roles IHRM has played to ensure the company expansion. In future explanation, IHRM roles has help the company expansion in terms of the different policies base on the understanding of different national culture in which their business operates, and this has so far, work for Avon. And finally, in suggesting various recommendations for the company on how the company will manage and deal with cultural diverse workforce and multicultural market, is the important of embracing and understanding the conception of workplace diversity.
