A proposal to Research the condition of old employees at Northwest Coal Mining machine factory

Introduction

Northwest Coal Mining Machinery Factory is an Chinese country domain company. It has almost fifty years history. So This company have more than 30% old employees whom age are higher than 45. In mechanical company , Technology update quickly, People have to obtain new knowledge for work every time. But many old employees can’t study new knowledge as quick as youngers. Company should pay another bill for old employees training. Unfortunately, Our company don’t want to pay for this bill, It just want to drive away these employees. This proposal will mainly discuss the company should how to treat their old employees.

Problem Statement

Country domain company can’t laying their employees off because age reason by China’s law. Old employees can’t accept new knowledge as easy as younger. Company may pay more money and time to additional training. And they can’t make money for company like younger. So company usually don’t want to waste these money and resource and they can’t fire old employees by age. So company do a lot of immoral things for these employees like changing them jobs in a very bad environment that old employees can’t bear or change them  to a very low salary jobs that people can’t afford their lives. Old employees have to quit their jobs by themselves. Yan wang, female, 51 years old, one of designer in my team, spend all life in this company, She studied new design software very hard by her poor English. She can’t work because she can’t use new software. Company don’t want wait her or give her additional training, They change her work in a very hard work position. She should stand and walk all day to record stock products outside in summer and winter. She can’t finish this job with her bad heathy condition, she have to quit job by herself . This is only one example in my company, a lot of old employees face unfair treat same as Yan. We younger worker feel bad by company. Because we will be old sooner or later, our company will treat us like Yan. Employees lost their loyal for this company. I think this is a very important ethic and management problem. I will search and try to find a way to solve this problem.
