Having an app that helps communicate your symptoms to your medical physician in a speedy manor would be a great purchase. This app would allow the user to input their symptoms and be given possible types of generic diagnoses. When the user picks what type of diagnoses they think is most relevant to them, it would open up a communication channel between them and their medical physician. Ultimately, the physician would prescribe a plan of treatment through the app. This would eliminate the need to set up appointments with doctors and cut down on the time it takes to examine a patient.
Another app idea we had is a combined diet tracker and workout plan, all in one. Right now, there are many apps on the market that help people count calories and track their diet. There are also many apps that help people track their workouts and help build a workout plan. However, to our knowledge, there is not an app available on the market that combines these two aspects (one of our group members did extensive research on this while training for a marathon). In order for a person to lose weight, they need to both watch what they eat and work out. One of the challenges for people trying to lose weight and/or reach a fitness goal is not knowing which foods to eat and which exercises to do in order to get the best results possible. This app would ask for a person’s overall fitness goal, whether it be losing weight, building muscle, training for a marathon, or some other fitness goal. Then this app would generate a personalized training and meal plan, track the person’s actual diet and exercise, and make suggestions for change. This app would be very beneficial to every person who has a fitness goal. The market is specific enough to target, yet broad enough to generate revenue.
