The realities for anyone in the business to achieve to do better are always looking for ways to progress. It is a nasty manner to progress, but one's intelligence of an organization has its advantages. In addition, the competition is fierce because top talented individuals seem to be defensively fighting for the same position. The question arises as to what is ethical to share to the interviewer. This is definitely a challenge for both sides because what is one willing to give up to show commitment.

Knowledge is power but one should understand that competing should be fair and honest as possible. In the book Excellence in Business, chapter 2 informs us that businesses are expected to compete fairly and honestly. It almost feels that when one shares knowledge about another company, one is sharing because they feel intimidated. Businesses often hire employees from competitors to gain the secrets of their competition. The ethical factor is that one needs to be unique in finding ways to achieve their success without diminishing the company that they are attempting to leave.

There is pride involved in this scenario like this, because they are not wanting or willing to discover new ways or improvements for themselves. Excellence in Business, chapter 2 further explains that, "the more you know and the better you understand a situation, the better your chances are of making an ethical decision." There is not anything wrong with seeking competitive intelligence, it just needs to be done in a competitive truthful manner. Communicating truthfully is important if one is sharing anything about the competition because it is important that the company you are seeking to work with knows that you know about your product.

In closing, knowing your competition is a way to develop an effective strategy for your own business. These days each company has to be unique and the person looking for the job needs
