Boots and Innocent use a different range of techniques to entice people to buy their products. To get people to buy their products is important for a company because this is how they make a profit. What they have to do will need to be unique to other stores, because if it was all the same, then it wouldn’t grab the attention of consumers because they would have seen it all before. Also, the company need to make sure that their marketing techniques will build a loyalty with their customers and build a stronger brand image.
Boots use a range of techniques to entice consumers to go into their store and buy their products. This is why Boots is a very well-known company in the UK because of the way they run their store and the products that they sell and what they do to advertise and get customers into the store. One technique that Boots use is an advantage card this means that for every £1 that you spend in store, you get 4 points. A certain amount of points means that you can have something for free, depending on the amount of points you have. This will entice more people into the store because they will want to have something for free that have may have been too expensive for them to buy. This will get more people to get an advantage card or use their advantage card because everyone will want to be buying Christmas presents and Boots is one of a few shops that do cheaper Christmas deals on their products, the prices for their Christmas products ranges from £5 to £30. Also for boots seasonal deals, they have certain products that are suited for that season and offer promotional offers to their customers or potential customers. Their Christmas offers are marked with a green sticker which shows that the products are on offer and if you buy one product then you may get another one for half price. As well as this, they do an online advantage card offer so for every £60 that you spend online, so you will get 12 points for every £1 you spend. This is a good offer for regular customers as they will be more likely to have an advantage card and it is also for people who want to buy a lot of gifts or products and they cannot buy them in store or they are buying too much to buy in store. Boot’s online store is also an advantage for customers because Boots is a big store in places such as shopping centres and customers may not find what they want or there may be something that might only be available online which is not in store. This makes the store image bigger because may stores do not have an online store and this means that for people who are, for example, disabled then they may not have enough time or they may not be able to go into the store. So it is good that stores like Boots have an online store because it is easier and quicker.
