Chapter One

Introduction

1.1 Background of the Study

An Internship in a real life business organization is required as an obligatory part for the students after completion of academic courses in order to complete the Bachelor of Business Administration Program successfully.

Internship is a requirement to complete the BBA Program.  IN the four year I just learnt about theoretical knowledge. In internship that is based on practical work and we can get the chance to implement our theoretical knowledge.

I submit this internship report which I prepared after completing three months internship at topic: “Modern Techniques for Marketing Bank Products : Innovative Suggestion for NCC Bank Ltd.” which was supervised by Md. Ktar Kamal, Lecturer in Managements, International Islamic University Chittagong, Dhaka Campus.

1.2 Objectives of the study:

The Main Objective of the Study has given below:

1. To know the banking operation of selected bank.

2. To know SWOT of the selected bank.

3. To describe the banking product of NCC Bank Ltd.

4. To evaluate the modern techniques of different bank.

5. To familiar with the modern techniques at NCC Bank Ltd.

1.3 Methodology of the sTUDY:

a)  Nature of the study: Exploratory

b) Sources of information: Both primary and secondary information sources were used to complete this report.

  • Primary sources: Following factors were considered to collect information:
  1. Face to Face conversation.
  • Secondary sources: Secondary information was collected from various
  • Books,

  •  Journals,
  • Manuals, and
  • Also from the web sites. Annual report of NCC Bank Limited
  • Desk report of the related department.
  • Other manual information
  • Different circulars sent by Head Office.

                b) Analysis techniques: Self study was used to analyze the collected information.

               c) Presentation of information: Collected information and findings of the analysis are presented in both table and graphical form

1.4 Scope of the Report

This report provides some important evaluations and present scenario of NCC Bank Ltd. Here some points are given below:

  • Evaluation of the different financial performance of NCC Bank Ltd.
  • Present condition of NCC Bank Ltd in banking sector.
  • Knowledge of diversified products and services.
  • Liquidity position of NCC Bank Ltd.
  • Condition of NCC Bank Ltd regarding Bangladesh Bank rules.
  • Different problems and solutions regarding liquidity management

1.5 Limitations of the Report

This report has some limitations. Sometimes it was difficult to collect the required data because of confidentiality. Moreover time was another factor. I had to work hard to prepare in within the due date. Due to time constrain, it was not possible to go into details of some areas.
