Career Exploration

The Career Exploration allowed me to explore careers that were recommended to be a good fit based on my skills, interests and program of study. To first identify my career path, I decided to take the Interest Assessment. The results determined that my primary career path would lead me to occupations that were more involved with Enterprising at 36% followed by Social at 31%, Conventional at 27% and Investigative at 4%. Enterprising occupations involved starting up and carrying out projects that lead to leading people, making many decisions and risk taking whereas Social occupations would involve working, communicating and teaching people.
The Interest Assessment tool-assisted me with gathering the information needed to set and identify possible occupations that fit into my career goals and capitalize on specific personality traits, values, and interests. The information gathered ranked my top career path and set out an outline of what the demand and salary expectations were.
This Career exploration tool has given me the insight and opportunity to think about where I am headed, what I would like to do and whether my current skills and values fit into the equation. By identifying my key personality traits and matching my skills to the careers that are a suitable fit, I was able to narrow down my field effortlessly and also identify the areas I need to develop.
In concluding, working in an enterprising and social occupation is the career path I would like to pursue. I have determined from the results given in the Career Exploration tool recognized my abilities to people and my skills with detail.
The results given was very astounding as I did not expect the tools to be so user-friendly, informative and equipped with the essential links to navigate through valuable resources for career coaching and guidance. The career exploration information retrieved through inputting the technical and human skills I have attained allowed me to put myself in the best possible position to stay on track. By refining and improving my skills, I am better equipped to make more informed decision specific to my career path and goals.
