My three highest career clusters are Education & Training, Human Services, and Arts, Audio-Video Tech, and Communications. My top pick from these three would have to be the Arts, Audio-Video Tech, and Communications. The coursework needed for this career are Art, Journalism, English & Creative Writing, Computer Applications, and Computer Aided Design. The school activities for this career are yearbook, school newspaper staff, getting involved in school website, drama club, and photographing a school activity. The community activities are job shadowing professionals, dance lessons, creating professional videos, creating promotional videos, participating in art projects, and volunteering in museums.
Courses I should take my junior year are English/Language Arts lll, Alegebra ll, Chemestry, and American History. Courses I should take my senior year include English/Language Arts lV, Intro to Statistics, Physics or other science courses, and American Government or Economics. Other classes to take as electives are Audio/Video Productions, Broadcasting, Digital Media, and Digital Photography. Postsecondary classes you will need to take are English Comp, English Lit, College Algebra, Chemistry, American Government, Psychology, Speech, Oral Comm., Computer Applications, Biological Science, Physical Science, American History, and any other courses in the area of specialization. Five general work activities are thinking creatively, interacting with computers, making decisions and solving problems, and communicating with persons outside organization. Five detailed work activities are using creativity in graphics, use computer graphics design software, use creativity in industrial artistry, process photographic prints, and operate specialized photo equipment. Five specific tasks typical for this occupation are Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts, researching new software or design concepts, maintaining archive of images, photos, or previous work products, Studying illustrations and photographs to plan presentation of materials, products, or services, and photographing layouts, using camera, to make layout prints for supervisors or clients. My career's description is to design or create graphics to meet specific commercial or promotional needs, such as packaging, displays, or logos.
