Compare and Contrast
There is a big difference in the way that males and females communicate. a lot of problems are based on failure to or lack of communication. It is true that a lot of problems are based on the failure to, or lack of communication. A lot of mishaps could be avoided if communication skills would have been better. Weather, it be business or personal, lack of communication is sure to cause complications.
Per the article I read, the latest research says the only difference between men and women are physiological, and anatomical. It states that, “men are better in math, solving logical problems, they are analytical, rational and have more difficulty in showing their feelings, on the other hand women are better in languages, communication, they are more intuitive, creative, holistic and integrative and are far more sensitive than men.”
Men have little compartments in the brain where they store their information. They retrieve the information out of each box as it applies to each situation. They only use one compartment at a time. Women think in general. There is no box all their data is connected in a way.
The way they communicate is also different. Men are naturally more pugnacious and imperious than women are. They would say things like, “Pass me that salt.” Women are different. They are more yielding and courteous. They would say the same thing, but a different way. It would be, “Will you pass me that salt, please?” Women are more altruistic.
With all those psychological differences, there are bound to be miscommunications between the genders. Understandably so, given that they are each on two totally different brain wave patterns. Which is where I feel is where the misunderstandings come in to play. Therefore, men sometimes find it hard to understand women, and women just simply cannot understand men.
For example: A woman can ask her husband to “take the trash out”, but she is also wanting him to take it to the road, so that it can be picked up. A man is not thinking anything more into what she asked him to do which is to “take the trash out.” So, before he goes to bed he does what he was asked to do. He takes the trash outside the house, but not to the road to be picked up. The woman wakes up the next morning upset to see that their trash can didn’t get picked up because it wasn’t beside the road. All of this was a failure to communicate, and could have been avoided had she expressed herself more clearly.
