Executive Summary:

In this report the reader will find the results on four different self evaluations conducted to help the student identify weakness and strengths. The assessment included were the Strengths Finder which is designed to help people uncover their talents. Second, the Competencies Index which provides an inventory of skills that is useful in identifying possible careers that resemble a similarity with one’s own strengths. Third, the listening inventory that promotes the different ways that our listening skills could be use to improve our performance in the business and personal level. Lastly, a emotional intelligence test to determine how we could become better at influencing other people in our work environment.

Strengths Finder:

The fist characteristic is Restorative which represents a process thinker. In other words, someone that takes the initiative to search for the reasons when something has gone wrong. The idea for action was to let other people solve their own problems.

Secondly, is Connectedness which represents the idea of everything being connected and being able to find links in all things or events. The idea for action was to help people see the connections among their talents, their actions, their mission, and their successes.

Another one was Activator which is one of the characteristics that explains who I am most accurately. For example, an individual that is able to make things happen where once they were only thoughts or goals. The idea identified for action was to look for creative and original thinkers, and help them move their ideas from conceptual theory to concrete practice.

Also, it described me as a Futuristic someone able to resolve problems in an unorthodox manner by creatively thinking of what could be possible. A honed thinker motivated by what could be accomplished in the months, years and decade to come. The idea for action that I chose was read articles about technology, science and research to gain knowledge that will fuel your imagination.

Lastly, the Strategic individual that accumulates as much information as possible and then sorts out the facts and determine the key pieces of evidence that generate solutions. The idea for action on this area is to take the time to fully reflect or muse about a goal that you want to achieve until the related patterns and issues emerge for you.

Competencies Index

In this self inventory I had the opportunity to differentiate qualities in myself in two different categories. For example, the competencies that I have a competitive advantage and the competencies that are not my competitive advantage. Therefore, I was able to identify the areas that I need to cultivate.
