Part 1:
One thing that makes me furious is age discrimination. I am so over the looks from all of the older professionals, in both my agency as well as our community partner agencies, that I work with that say, "are you even old enough to be in the room right now?" People see my age and immediately under-value my thoughts, and opinions concerning the subject matter. I have a young face, but I am well educated, I have been in social work since I was 17, and I am more than competent to handle the situation at hand. Society as a whole allows the physical appearance of others to judge their qualifications both as people and professionals. I feel that people need to give others a chance before they label and deem someone incompetent of having any value or validity.

1. The key issues that were presented in this case study were: stereotyping and sexism.
2. Max should have allowed her an opportunity to discuss her issues and provide her perception of the issues presented before he made any conclusions or assumptions. Every employee deserves a fair chance to state their views. There are two sides to every story. Part of being master manager is showing employees that they are valued and supported even if they are in the wrong clear communication needs to take place.
