The Group provides communication services in the segments of Mobile, Fixed, Broadband and Internal Gateway Services. Dialog has been at the forefront of innovation in the mobile industry in Sri Lanka since late 90s propelling the nation’s mobile telephone infrastructure to a standard on par with the developed world. The Company also remitted LKR 10.7 Billion to the Government of Sri Lanka as direct income tax, fees and levies. Company also collected a further LKR 21.0 Billion as indirect taxes on behalf of the government. Thus, Dialog Axiata being one of the largest corporate contributors to the Sri Lanka’s economy remitting a total of LKR 31.7 Billion as direct and indirect taxes during 2016, an increase of 15% compared with 2015.
