Dialog has been at the forefront of innovation in the mobile industry in Sri Lanka since late 90s propelling the nation’s mobile telephone infrastructure to a standard on par with the developed world. The Company also remitted LKR 10.7 Billion to the Government of Sri Lanka as direct income tax, fees and levies. Company also collected a further LKR 21.0 Billion as indirect taxes on behalf of the government. Thus, Dialog Axiata being one of the largest corporate contributors to the Sri Lanka’s economy remitting a total of LKR 31.7 Billion as direct and indirect taxes during 2016, an increase of 15% compared with 2015.
