This paper will discuss Dell's past performance, in marketing their product by way of using the six pillars of the marketing code of ethics which are honesty, responsibility, caring, respect, fairness, and citizenship. Michael Dell founder and CEO of Dell Inc. once said "Our business is about technology, yes. But it’s also about operations and customer relationships." Dell knows that for the company to adhere to the six marketing pillars of the marketing mix and provide its customers with products that are of great quality but in constant supply.
Honesty
Honesty is being trust worth; do not deceive, cheat, or steal. Be reliable and do what you say you will do. Have courage to do the right things. ( ) At dell what they say is true and forthcoming- not just technical correct. They are open and transparent in their communications with each other and about the business performance. Their word is good by keeping their commitments to each other and to their stakeholders. They do the right thing without compromise, and avoid even the appearance of impropriety.
Responsibility
Responsibility is doing what one is supposed to be doing. Always doing the best. Thinking before act-consider the consequences. Being accountable for choices. Sell products and services that are beneficial. Consider the environment. Dell accepts the consequences of our actions. They admit their mistakes and quickly correct them. Dell does not retaliate against those who try to do the right thing by asking questions or raising concerns.
Caring
Caring is to be kind, compassionate and show you care, Express gratitude, Help people in need.
For a company as large and worldly known as Dell is, they care for their customers not just for the products they provided to them, but also for the world they live.
Respect
Treat others with respect, be tolerant of differences, use good manners, not bad language, Be considerate of the feelings of others
We treat others with respect. We value their contributions and listen to their point of view. We maintain fairness in all relationships.
Fairness
Be open-minded; listen to others. Don’t take advantage of others. Don’t blame others carelessly.
