Fast Food
Eating is among enjoyable human activities that take place on a daily basis. Thus, it is not surprising that there is a variety of foods from which to choose. One of the categories of the most popular foods is fast food. This type of food is prepared and served quickly. Despite the widespread consumption of fast food, contentions remain regarding the benefits and shortcomings of consuming fast food. It is noted that irrespective of the view that one holds, fast food consumption has both pros and cons. One of the advantages of consuming the food is related to time saving (Schlosser, 2001). It is argued that although fast food consumption has benefits and drawbacks, it elicits drug-related consequences such as addiction which leads to dependence among vulnerable populations.

Hence, fast food is critical in maintaining one’s working pace without compromising his/ her eating habits or needs. The food is preferred since it allows busy people enough time to relax so that they can carry on their routine work without much pressure.
Apart from the issue of time, cost is an important consideration when preparing food. Examining the costs associated with preparing a meal is helpful in advancing the case for fast food. In the current times, the number of people living alone has increased (Talwar, 2003). For those individuals who stay single, it is easier for them to buy than to prepare a meal.
