INDIVIDUAL JOURNAL
The Entrepreneurs' Forum inspired me to be more firm of becoming a successful entrepreneur. There are three entrepreneurs who are invited to share about their stories and precious experience of how their business are built and sustained. From the way they talk, messages and advice they give, I learnt to have an abundant mindset while doing business. For example, to be optimistic and have strong beliefs that nothing can not be done. I could strongly feel their inner drive to succeed and their ambitiousness to grow their business. Their inner drive and ambitiousness motivates me to go forward and look to them. Moreover, I would like to adopt their 'never say die' attitude which helped them persevere through unforeseen and difficult circumstances. They believe completely in their skills and abilities to achieve their goals. They possess several key personal qualities and entrepreneur skills that make them so successful in their industry. I also feel the urge to build entrepreneurial skills so as to build up confidence in myself. I believed that confidence with a wide range of knowledge will make the person persuasive with his or her words. This is especially useful in negotiation. They treat their business as their babies and put in all their efforts in with passion. I would like to start my business with something with what I am passionate about.
From all the lectures, tutorials and projects of this subject, I learnt how to prepare a business plan which gets me to do more research and allows me to think through all the strategic and operational issues important to the success of the business. I learnt how to differentiate products through product positioning, I learnt market analysis, financial projection, human resource management, pricing and so on.
