Tell me about yourself.

My name is Cassidy Tasler and I am currently a senior at Kent State, studying finance. I’ve worked with Applebee’s the past few years where I was able to cross-train and learn different environments. I was able to help in the recruitment of new employees while establishing and maintaining positive customer relations.

Why are you interested in our company?

Because I think your company can give me the opportunity to reach my goals. I am aware of your company’s policies and encourage student’s growth and I am ready to learn and grow first hand.

Why are you interested in this position?

I think this position will give me real-world experience. I think it’s really important to work for a company who values their employees.

Why did you choose your major in finance?

I chose a major in finance because of its more narrow focus, but how it will still allow me to explore a field that has many new and growing job opportunities. I initially studied finance because I really enjoy mathematics. I also believe that you have to be personally driven, and that I have the personality to work in a business environment.

What are your strengths?

I believe that I have an extremely strong work ethic. When I work on projects, I don’t just want to meet a deadline but I like having everything done early and well ahead of schedule. Also I believe that I have good customer service skills. Even though I have just been serving the past few years I believe it has given me strong social skills and the ability to resolve difficult situations.

What are your weaknesses?

Although I am comfortable speaking to people and working in groups I would have to stay that public speaking it something I need to work on. I had a communications class where we had to give three speeches in front of our class and although I did well in the class I’m not as comfortable as I need to be.

What motivates you?

I believe that I am really self-motivated but work well with others to get the needs of the job done and done well. I also believe that responsibility motivates me and that it is important for all employees to responsible. And if I am a member of a company I should do my job well and that’s my responsibility.

How do you define success?

In my view success is a result of hard work and patience and in the end will give self-satisfaction and awareness to avoid mistakes.
