INTRODUCTION
Today's generation is far different from the past because of the evolving technologies, and it takes a vivid imagination to envision how the young generation will change in the next 50 years in an ever changing world. Consumers, specifically the youth, are becoming more inclined in modern preparation of food such as fast food chains that invade the market industry of food manufacturing.
This study indicates that the perception among young generation are likely important to socio-demographic, and it tends them to get more information about the health benefits that they can get to prevent harmful diseases. To produce high-quality products with some relevant improvements in terms of anti-oxidant phytomicronutrients, nitrate accumulation in vegetables and toxic residue levels are some of the concerns of organic restaurant in producing their food products.
In addition to this, products must be produce without the use of genetic modification or chemical fertilizers or pesticides, and must promote sustainable cropping methods. With regard to the processing of the products, the Organic na Negros! Organic Producers and Association conducts membership training program to ensure that their product are free from chemicals and to assure people that their products are certified organic.
As college students, we see that their organic food pricing is quite expensive than fast-food chains in a way that they don't offer affordable foodstuffs such as value meals.
In 2011, the first Organic Restaurant started its operation in Bacolod City with eighteen kitchen staff. It is managed and owned by an association ONOPRA- Organic Producers and Retailers Association, which is supported by the local government with its advocacy to promote
organic lifestyle within the community. The restaurant offers organically grown products such as fresh papaya, banana, melon, camote and other seasonal fruits which were made into fruit mixes, fruit shakes and juices. Despite growing consumer demand for organically produced foods, information based on a systematic review of their prices they are quite expensive. A price is often used as a way to increase consumers interest in a product for example when an item is put on sale, but in other cases marketers try to sell a product with a higher price than people are used to if they want to communicate that it's high quality or cutting edge (Solomon).
The organic restaurant has its own market within the vicinity. These products are free from any harmful chemicals fertilizers and pesticides, so they are fit for those health conscious customers. Moreover, these products are mostly from small organic farms. Because of these, the customers flank to the restaurant. They go there for the food and not for the ambiance.
