Organizational behavior plays a big and key role in many organizations. Every organization has in look into many factors for company growth, leadership, and productivity. They also want to reach their goals as a company and can do this by enhancing group or/and individual performance within the organization.
There are many models of organization behavior. The five models of organizational behavior are autocratic, custodial, supportive, collegial and system.
Autocratic model
This is based on authority support. What this means is that the employees have to obey the person in charge in every work activity that needs to be done. For example, if the boss asks you to go make some copies at the copier and needed 20 copies of something and you only did five, then you did not do what your boss needed you to do. Basically it is, do this or else kind of model.
Custodial model
The work performance of employees is really based on the different kind of benefits they can get from their employer based on the work ethics. This can be getting a raise or promotion.
Supportive model
The employees or employee are expected to give an excellent job performance and work ethic. They have to pretty much be doing the job they are asked to do in the way the boss expects it to be done. The model really just depends on the leadership more than anything else.
Collegial model
Employees are more in tuned in having more responsibility and basically has a partnership with the organizations management staff. Collegial is a term that means a group of people working together.
