Principles of Management:
Division of Work:
One of the principles of management is the division of work. Our group presented it when Carlo Nicolas, who played as the CEO of Ching! Corporation, called all the supervisors for a meeting. Carlo divided their works in accordance with their goal for this month.
For the Accounting Department, they were tasked to do the financial reports for the month. While the Advertising Department was assigned to create an infomercial that will result to an increase of 20% in sales. The Human Resource Department was ordered to plan for their upcoming trip to Baguio for their yearly team building activity. Lastly, for the General Services Office, they were asked to look for defected equipment and to repair it.
Authority and Responsibility
The Ching! Corporation is composed of different authorities which help each other run the company for its betterment.
The CEO of the corporation was portrayed by Carlo. The supervisors of the Accounting Department, Advertising Department, Human Resource Department and the General Services Office were played by Angel Hinanay, Aubrey Cando, Christine Maranan and Denley Fernandez respectively.
Each supervisors have the authority to manage their department in attaining their goals. Having the authority, he also have the responsibility in everything that might happen within his department.
Discipline
During the first part of our skit, it was shown that Carlo noticed the guard, Eliseo Umali, who was sleeping during his duty. Before reprimanding Eli, Carlo made sure that no one was around to hear their conversation.
On the latter part of our skit, while the Human Resource Department is having their meeting, Rica Nieva was slowly walking into the room because she was late. Christine already noticed her but she decided to talk to her after the meeting.
Both of the scenario showed that the heads decided to talk to their subordinates about the bad behavior they have done during the work in private. It is better to do this than to reprimand them with their officemates around.
