The current dissertation mainly focuses on functionalistr theory and state cartel theory.

Brexit is argued to have long term impacts on the UK economic landscape. It has also ben argued that financial sector will be cushioned from Brexit due to strong economic and regulatory stability. However, Brexit opens the doors for competitors in various markets to tap into UK market, the dominant one, and draw the interests of major market players in EU by adopting strategic strategies. However, UK will be unable to defend himself from such attacks after the withdrawal from EU.

Therefore, current study will provide important and substantial information to general population as well as businesses in UK and EU regarding the adoption of protective measures that help them to cushion from adverse impacts of Brexit.
