The impact of crowd sourcing is increasing in business sectors and even in the public sector. Explain why crowd sourcing is increasing and using illustrations, critically appraise its effect on environments that rely on innovation to grow.

Crowdsourcing is a specific sourcing model which has existed for many years. However, until recently it has a good implementation. Crowdsourcing is defined as the outsourcing of tasks that are performed internally to external tasks or the assignment of external tasks to a number of potential roles in the form of business relationships (Hammon and Hippner, 2012). There is an increasing trend of the impact of crowdsourcing in business sectors and in the public sector. Therefore, it becomes important to understand the effects of crowdsourcing. The purpose of essay is explaining why crowdsourcing is increasing and using illustrations and discussing its effect on environments that rely on innovation to grow. This essay firstly will discuss the Impact of environmental change on crowdsourcing. Secondly, this essay will discuss the pros and cons of crowdsourcing to seekers in an innovative environment. Thirdly, the benefits and drawback of crowdsourcing to the company impact on the innovation environment will be discussed. Finally, a conclusion will be given.
With the rapid development of the Internet, people can easily participate in crowdsourcing at anytime and anywhere. Contemporary crowdsourcing uses a network to provide a platform and a marketplace for both seekers and solvers (Soliman and Tuunainen, 2015). In this environment, the scope of crowdsourcing is increasing and the system of crowdsourcing is increasingly professional. This means that more potential will be involved and facilitating the supply and demand of crowdsourcing. There are two mainly benefits in the situation. Firstly, the range of crowdsourcing that can be applied has been added to various areas. So it is easier to increase the potential users compared to the original. A case of China will be elaborated. There is a popular domestic animation named “one hundred thousand bad jokes” to remake into movie. Due to lack to money, company consider to use crowd funding. According to the support of more than 5000 people, the company raise 1.78 million RMB online and the film is successful to shoot(Xiong, 2013).
