Proposal

Everyone is familiar with the concept of divorce, but even if you’re about to go through it yourself, chances are you may not be completely sure about how the process works. And, of course, every divorce is different – your friends’ experiences will not be your own. It is not surprising to find oneself in some form of negotiation every now and then. Whether in family or business dealing, people reach many decision through negotiation. Negotiations is the fact of life.

However, the important of negotiation becomes extremely critical when it comes to divorce. To make my argument more specific, I choose to analyze a negotiation situation between divorcing spouses who has very complex settlement issues. The purpose of choosing this is to show that difference in regards to settlements. Some couples have relatively simple cases, and they work out reasonable settlements without much contention. Other couples don’t have it so easy. Divorces involving complex financial portfolios or extraordinarily contentious/narcissistic spouses can sometimes require many months or even years of detailed work by teams of highly specialized professionals.

The main goal is to settle with less complications as possible. The overall goal, is find which would work best for both parties. Is it best to do a settlement agreement- If a divorcing couple (and their attorneys) negotiates and resolves all issues related to their divorce, whether informally or through out-of-court processes like mediation or collaborative law, the couple's decisions are finalized in detail in a written settlement agreement; Partial settlement- f a divorcing couple (and their attorneys) negotiates and resolves all issues related to their divorce, whether informally or through out-of-court processes like mediation or collaborative law, the couple's decisions are finalized in detail in a written settlement agreement. Things can become very complicated.
