Club IT has an opportunity to capitalize where other nightclubs choose not venture. Most successful nightclubs across the county use some form of inventory control and ordering systems; however, many do not take advantage of all the new frontiers offered in personal communication devices. Now more than ever, clubs have a cliental that is hardwired. These young, outgoing, socialites have more nightly entertainment choices than ever before, yet more ways to advertise and appeal directly to them exists now. Club IT can use this new generations electronic habits to build a business focused on the future of social nightlife instead of following the fly-by-night trends set by others.
Club IT’s mission is to use technology to set themselves apart from the crowd. Fresh, new approaches on the nightclub scene promise to open the doors on opportunity. The owners of Club IT understand the importance of having a fully integrated information system in place to monitor and guide their business ideals. This system has many possibilities, some of which are product consumption, automatic online ordering, employee performance, evaluation of performing acts, and future applications. Future possibilities include personal, customer notices, demographic specific entertainment, and online ticket sells.
Club IT serves up a mix of hip-hop, trip-hop, and trance DJ driven beats during the week with the areas best rock bands playing live over the weekends. Club IT has a younger demographic in mind with this musical genre. The owners of Club IT may want to consider the under 21 crowd to add depth to their clientele. This option can take place on weekdays only, weekends only, or everyday till mid-night. The options are endless and if managed correctly, the owners of Club IT can reap the benefits.
Currently, the median age in the United States is 34.5 years for males, and 38 years for females (CIA, 2011). 67% of the population fall between the ages of 15 and 64 years old, with an additional 20.2% of the population coming in 14 years and younger. These current demographics as well as future demographics will only be more connected than the level society is today.
Many IT possibilities exist within Club IT, however, Club IT’s immediate IS system needs must allow for future growth, applications, and system requirements.
