Animals are just as important as people are. Animals stay to themselves and within their pack and live life they are more of a companion, mans best friend. Animals and humans are a like in many ways. We both have feelings, think, behave and experience pain. Animals shouldn’t be treated any differently than humans. Animals should not be exploited for testing. Scientists put animals through pain, suffering and death to test the safety of products. During research animals right become violated. Humans get benefit from the animal testing research but is morally wrong to take an innocent animals life out them for the benefit of a human.
Animals are just as important as people and animal testing takes the identify of the animal away. Animals and humans share some of the same features like culture. Primates have their own culture and traditions; Emotion is also something shared. Any dog or cat owner has once in their life experienced fear, desire, panic, affection, happiness and embarrassment, just like dolphin mother. Dolphin feel grief of their young. Chimpanzees also show comfort amongst each other after an attack. Language is used to communicate needs, wants and ideas. Many animals use language too like primates, whales, birds and chimpanzees. There are many other similar features also. With all these animals being similar to humans, there is no reason why they should be treated any different then humans when it comes to chemical testing. Animals suffer and they lose their rights thought because they can’t speak up for themselves. Scientist just sacrifice the life of an animal to satisfy their own benefit. These tastings most common results lead to animal deaths.
These test are performed by attaching tubes that pump huge amounts of the testing product to the animal’s stomach until they die. This whole process is very painful on the stomach of the animal that is being tested until they die. They suffer from vomiting, diarrhea, internal bleeding and more dying animals are also not put out of their misery when they are in pain. Animals should not be allowed to go through this. Animals should not be given chemicals until a painful death. They aren’t able to express their feeling and their pain and I feel like scientist take advantage of this.
