Debate in Business: Explanation Strategies and Outline Assignment

Opening (Question, Powerful Statement, Quotation, Fact, Example, ) : Did you really want to come this school, this major? To tell the truth, I didn’t want this major at first. I wanted cultural-anthropology, but I had to come this school because of my reality. Some people like me often decide to study again. This is because of the Korea’s education system.

Outline : The topic of my speech is problem in education in Korea. In my speech today I will include 3 ideas about the reason why Korea’s Education System should be changed. 

First Idea:  The College scholastic ability test : it’s the type of test(C) not to make students creative but to make students standardized.(A) For this, students study same subject, same ideas, same formations. But adults want teenagers different, not the same they made. (B)

Second Idea:  Students don’t have enough time to think their future. Student’s who want to success but no dream don’t have any time except studying. Adults say, “Just study hard and then you can choose what you want to do.”(D) But students don’t know wha tthey want to do and can’t prepare their job with appropriate steps. 

Third Idea: Students don’t know job’s reality. Schools are taking students to go “Career exploration”(D) : the experience that students study or play the role of the society(A). It’s the type of picnic(B) for tennagers(C). It doesn’t play the appropriate role for students, but just a outing.

Summary: Today I told you about Korea’s problem in education. and I told 3 ideas, so I think Korea’s education system should be changed.
