There has been an ongoing debate as to whether children had better study a foreign language at primary school outweighs secondary school or not. Before regarding my position, it is essential to explore both sides of the issue.
Children who early learn foreign language for primary school may have lots of language cognitive skills than other age-matched children who do not involved in study foreign language because they expose to language enrichment environment much more profoundly than those children who do not. In addition, their language comprehension may exceed than other children. For example, their listening, speaking or reading skills may much better than other student.
However, there is something awareness of f children’s first language. Some people think that if children do not learn their native language well, but started to learn foreign language it may make children get confused correct language usage formula. This problem will make children not only lost their mother language comprehension but make them become more complicated for both language.
So, In my opinion, pupils who study foreign language in early age it may help them become more competitive in the future but I think that it is not suitable for every children. It had better to depend on children’ s learning ability because you will know that whether your child is suitable or not to learn foreign language at primary school.
Overall, no matter when to make children to study foreign language the most important thing is that we need to make balance between our native and foreign language so that we will not lost our competitive.
