Imagine never being able to apply for your dream job because you do not have the qualifications needed. Unfortunately, that is the scenario numerous high school dropouts receive due to having no education in their teenage years. Nowadays, there are many small factors that result in one big downfall with America’s Education System. Some problems many schools and students receive across the country are lack of state funding, unknowledgeable faculty, or a corrupt school system. These issues result in not enough importance of education among students, boredom in classrooms, and unknowledgeable teachers in the district. By altering a classroom’s energy, offering more education for teachers, and increasing teacher’s salary everyone in the district from students to faculty can change their outlook and improve upon instructing young children to educated scholars.

To begin with, plentiful amount of children feel that attending school is not important and express it as more of a nuisance. When students have no one to push them to receive a higher level education, they think of it as an unimportant task, and wish to stop going. As more children drop out due to negligence of education, this creates a domino effect for children attending class. In return, these children who barely can read past the eighth-grade level have nothing to do but result in joining the corruptions around them such as gangs, drugs, and alcohol. Statistics in a recent documentary identified, that the “problem of failing schools lead to failing neighborhoods” (Guggenheim, Waiting for Superman). As a solution to the lack of interest in schools, teachers need to have their classrooms entertained to keep the students interest high and alert. Classroom schedules become repetitive after time with a set schedule but some ways to change their outlook can be to conduct group games to have competitiveness in the material learned, offer rewards for good work by watching movies, giving praise, or allowing students to work together in groups. These suggestions allow students to work together with others students in a learning environment rather than sitting behind a desk.
