In recent times, globalization has had more positive than negative impact in education. One positive effect is the fast development in educational technology. This transformation equips students with significant tools to be competitive in the global labor market. It has also modified the way teaching is delivered. With the introduction of e-learning, people do not have to be physically present to obtain an outstanding education. Globalization brings a new way of life. Individuals in global world are expected to evaluate events in a holistic approach. Globalization enhances student's ability to manipulate symbols and it lets them focus on abstract concepts. Students get the opportunity of enhancing their ability to acquire and utilize knowledge. They can also find the chance of producing an increased quantity of scientifically and technically trained persons. Globalization encourages students to work in teams. That is another important aspect of globalism because employees need people who can work in groups.
There are no boundaries of space and time in global world. It is a world that there are no borders between people. New technologies make it possible to communicate more effectively across cultural boundaries by providing options that are effective and efficient.
Globalization also has impacted higher education positively. Universities have realized the need of teaching a curriculum that goes beyond national boundaries. This is being done in order to educate the global citizen. A global citizen is someone who cares about everything that is going on around the word, and not only his/her own nation. We should all act as global citizens. People who care not only about his/her own problems or education, but also the education around the World.
