Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullaahi wa barakato fellow students and respected teachers, today I will speak to you about how people don’t drink enough water and how bottled water is not as healthy as advertises will tell you. Water is the most important thing to living beings but studies show that 40% of us drink less than half the amount that we should. Most of our body weight is water so it is essential that we replace fluids that are lost in our day to day activities. Not drinking enough water can make you dehydrated, which has many severe consequences. However, drinking bottled water is not as good an idea as advertises will tell you.
So, are you hydrated enough? To stay healthy most humans need to drink about 8 250ml cups of water every day. Unfortunately 40% of us drink less than 4 cups of water. One reason for this is that most people only go to drink water when our body tell us that we are thirsty, but if your body is telling you that you feel thirsty, you are already dehydrated, There are many ways to find out if you are dehydrated earlier, such as checking your eyes in a mirror, dark circles or sunken in eyes are a sign of dehydration. A more convenient method is to pinch your hand for a few seconds, if your skin doesn’t return to normal immediately, then consider a quick drink of water because your body probably really needs it. Have you drunk enough water today? Being dehydrated can also cause your body temperature to drop since water acts as a cooling mechanism. This drop in temperature can cause dizziness and fatigue. Dehydration also affects your mood, making you feel more grumpy and confused. Not being sufficiently hydrated can also potentially damage your kidneys, eventually leading to kidney failure.
On the other hand, aside from preventing these bad effects on your body, staying hydrated also has many positive benefits. Water is useful for easing the process of digesting. Regular water consumption can keep you from becoming constipated and keep your digestive system working properly. The water will also help remove toxins from your body. So you should drink water before your meal. This will also make you feel full quicker, so you will eat less. The water does not have to actually be raw water; it can be the water from juicy fruits and vegetables
