How to Keep and Maintain a Healthy Lifestyle?

A healthy lifestyle leaves you fit, energetic and at reduced risk for disease, based on the choices you make about your daily habits. Having a healthy lifestyle can make the family more harmonious but some unnecessary problems such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease and other will occur if we have an unhealthy lifestyle. To keep and maintain a healthy lifestyle is not so difficult if you follow the ways probably and it also bring much benefits to us. Here we have some ways to keep and maintain a healthy lifestyle such as get good eating habits, do daily exercise and have adequate sleep.
First of all, we have to get good eating habits to keep and maintain a healthy lifestyle. We can eat according to the food pyramid which consists of most carbohydrate, more vitamins and fibre, less protein, and least fats to get a daily balance diet. To get good nutrition we also need to eat at the proper time which is morning, afternoon, and night. Do not eat only when you are very hungry, if it goes on for a long time, it will cause gastric problem which will never heal and only can control by having medicine. Do not eat too much junk food, try to eat some healthier food such as fruits, nuts, dried fruits, raisins, and other when you feel greedy for foods.
Next, do daily exercise also a way to keep and maintain a healthy lifestyle. It is more efficient for reducing body fat by increase the duration of exercise but not decreasing the level of food intake. Walking is the easiest exercise for controlling weight, strengthening your bones, legs muscle toning and improving self-esteem. Take a walk or stand after having your meal, do not just sit or lying on the bed to avoid indigestion or obesity.
After that, we should also need to have adequate sleep for keep and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Sleep is necessary for growth, healing, and avoiding anxiety. Adequate sleep means that getting an average of 6-8 hours of sleep each night but not sleep from 8 AM to 4 PM which it is going to be the same as sleeping overnight. The best thing we can do for our sleep cycle is to get rid of our alarm clock, set the bedtime every day. We cannot just sleep 12 hours on one day to make up for sleeping for 4 hours the day before. If we do not have adequate sleep may lead to daytime sleepiness and decreased mental acuity, thus negatively affect normal growth and the ability of adolescents.
