Individuality Argument Essay

Have you noticed these days society looks at individuality as a negative thing? We as a society are under constant pressure to surrender our individuality to the influences around us. When in reality we were put on this earth to have individual talents and aspirations. People shouldn’t change to please society. They should strive to please themselves as human begins, because we should be proud of our differences.

We were born to individuals, changing to what you think the world wants to see isn’t always the best idea in a long run. All around us we see people not being themselves just to fit into to a certain group, maybe because that group is “cool” or the “jocks” of the school. Some of those groups you see have bad influences or do dangerous harmful things. You could save yourself from the bad influences around us that society dangles in front of us, being your self isn’t always a bad thing, try to find a better situation, in this case a better group of friends that you don’t have to change for. Be smarter than society.

The people that realize they want to stay genuine to who they are, will make them generally happier. A big example is the leopard man, he embraced his individuality and just enjoyed his little cabin and the beautiful world around it. “As far as I’m concerned, if there is a paradise on earth. I’m in it. You’re welcome to what you’ve got. I’ll keep this (par 7)”. This speaks really strongly he totally does things to make himself happy, he doesn’t do it to impress others or please them either.

As a society we should embrace our differences, and learn from others. If all of us are the same we won’t have a diverse world. Seeing others creativity and encouraging individuality, will help us grow together.
