“Love”

Love is a word that gets thrown around a lot. People say they love chocolate, or actors, or their spouses and so on. With the word being used so many different ways, it’s hard to know the true meaning. I believe that there are several different definitions and types of love. These include material love, love for celebrities, romantic love, and agape love.

The first type of love is material love. This love is what one feels for objects such as food or cars. It is very different from the love you might feel for a significant other. With this type of love, you may crave the item and be satisfied when you receive it, but then the love seems to fade. It is human nature to always want more. This type of love changes constantly and doesn’t seem too last long. Some people may not even consider this to be love.

The next type of love is the love that one feels for celebrities. It is almost an infatuation. Some people become obsessive about celebrities. It is most likely that the person will never meet the celebrity and never develop a relationship with him or her, but there is always that hope. I have this type of love for Kenny Chesney. I know almost everything about him; I enjoy his music, but I do not love him in the same way that I love my boyfriend.

Another type of love is romantic love. This is what one feels for their boyfriend or girlfriend or spouse. This love, when it really is true love, lasts much longer than the other types discussed. Many people often think they feel this kind of love, but then it fades. This type of love, unlike the other two mentioned above, is generally two-sided. Meaning both partners share in the feelings for one another. In my experience, sometimes romantic love is one sided. This
