From the ancient times, as through the evolution of civilization, love has become an important part of the community. Love will defuse the conflicts, unite people, and break the ices between strangers. Love has become the most energetic and positive power in the world. In a person’s daily life, there is love from the family, from lover, and from friends. A love can be priceless to receive but one can give love generously. From the film, The Straight Story, Alvin traveled on his mower for more than three hundred miles to meet his brother with stroke. If there is not a strong love from his innermost heart to support him on his way, his destination should be much more difficult to reach. On the other hand, in “A Model of Christian Charity” by John Winthrop, John has mentioned. “Love is the bond of perfection” (Winthrop 100). It made a perfect definition of love’s role in the community. Love forms an unbreakable bond and it links people as an entirety; on the other side, love can also be the fervent belief that leads to people’s thoughts and ways to make positive decisions. However, in the entire community, there should not be a lack of love. Why does love exist? What things does love bring to the community? Love brings people so many worthwhile experiences and countless happiness, and love should be the most decisive power that brings the community the best life experience.
Fragments of love can always be picked up on their approaches to the destination. Every individual is on the road while they participate in the community. Such as Winthrop is on his way to a brand new place, and Alvin is on his way to see his brother during the end of a life. In the film of The Straight Story, audiences can always observe Alvin and his mower moving on an endless road.
