Who’s to say what love really is? Love is a very strong feeling that comes in three different categories: love for family, friends, and spouses. Family is usually considered a huge part of a person’s life. People usually grow up to love their family in good or bad times. Family love is always considered eternal as a friends love is basically the replacement of family. The love for a spouse is usually the most sacred love that exists and includes their mental emotions.
The love I have for my parents is an unconditional type of love. Unconditional love provides the cornerstone of my self-esteem. It’s the love that communicates with me, because when its said by a parent, you know what they feel and what they meant by it. When my parents say “I believe in you, I’m here for you, and I love you no matter what.” you as the child feel loved and understand the point being made by the parent. I can still love them and not like them, but I find the love in my heart for the fact that they created me, raised me and are a part of who I am today. This is sincere love, the only love that lasts forever.
My friendship type of love is honest, open and comfortable. The pathway to honest love begins in friendship.
