My Reading

Approaching this cold reading was different from the readings that I have made before because I was constantly thinking about what I was reading. My reading processes in our first cold reading was reading every paragraph and analyze it.

The difference that Brandt tries to convey with this reading between reading and writing is that writing occurs when people felt lonely or when they where alone, they were trying to express themselves writing while on the other hand they feel emotional when they read.

My understanding of self-sponsored is that he used to write for himself, he was alone so he doesn't have anyone to write for.

People's relationships to reading are characterize by feelings, people use to read and they will get emotional.

"Immediate circumstances and feelings". While writing is that people use to get a lot of feelings because most of the times, because when they were writing they were alone.

"Sensual and emotional pleasure that it gave" people get emotional when they read because they used to have good memories about reading with family, friends.

The relevance of my understanding about reading and writing is that they are both connected and essential to each other. It supports my point of view about reading and writing because in a way I write when I feel alone or I don't have anyone to talk to. While reading is more for my own pleasure and to set my mind on other things.

Cold reading is a very efficient way of making sure students understand what they are reading because they gave them the opportunity to analyze the article.
