TITLE:
Looking at his t-shirt the nurse assumed it had never been ironed or washed and folded neatly tidily in a draw before. By the looks of him, he obviously avoided the shower and his parents didn't seem to care what looked like when he left the house.
She watched him, as he lay there still recovering from the anesthetic. She felt sorry for him, as it looked like he had never been cared for.
It hadn't been a major surgery procedure it was just urgent. The nurse examined him and checked the dressing on his hip. He looked like he was recovering quickly.
‘OW!' he screamed, waking from the anesthetic ‘what ya doin woman?!' he snapped at her. He felt where the pain was coming from and feeling the dressing began to panic.
‘What's this shit in my arm?'
The nurse, taken aback by his behavior was a little too scared by his behavior. She asked in a shuddery voice trying to calm him down ‘Do you remember what happened last night? Do you remember how you got here?'.
He scowled at her trying to untangle himself from the tube. The nurse watched as the fear crept up on her. He started describing slowly ‘Ya I was hangin' with my homies at someone's party. I didn' know who's house it was. We were messing around and have a bit a fun.'
Looking curiously the nurse asked 'so, how did you come to get stabbed?' ‘As I said before, we were havin' a bit a fun until things started to get sorta outta hand. We sorta got into a fight… Yeah. It was in the kitchen'. ‘Where are ma homies? Are they ok?'.
‘Oh yes' she said looking pleased and worried at the same time.
