Three Canadian People's Opinions About The Most
Important Values
With great curiosity, I went to the downtown area and asked at least three local Canadian people the same question, that is what are the most important values to Canadian people in your opinion. Here are their opinions which were summarized below:
Tracy Nash, a Financial Adviser at Scotiabank
She thinks that the most important values to Canadian people are the equality, especially the person to person equality, diversity and inclusiveness which can be seen easily in Toronto as well. From what she said, confidence, enthusiasm and acceptance are the major characteristics of the majority of Canadian people. With these, she talked about her family situation and her unique working experience with different races with diverse cultures. Her positive attitude towards Canadian society impressed me very much.
Crystal Whitten, mother of a 3-year-old boy
She thinks the most important values are family and freedom. According to her current situation, she considers these two things are the most important when most Canadian people have a child or more after marriage. Family is important to her life, as it is also the same to most Canadian people according to what she said. And also, she additionally stressed that freedom is also one of the most values to Canadian people, because she is a mother, who feels this more keenly than unmarried people do.
Michele Sheperd, an Assistant Manager
She thinks the most important values are equality, diversity, truthfulness, friendliness, honesty and compassion. Having been working decades years, her maturity and wisdom naturally derive from her personality and words. She thinks that among those values, each of them can be embodied by most Canadian people, as they are shown by Torontonians as well.
In a word, people of different ages, sexes, positions have his or her emphases on the most important values to Canadian people, from which we can obviously find that diversity, equality and freedom are the most frequent answers, which can be seen as the universal values among Canadian people.
