The two-tracks
The two-tracks I am talking about are not railroad tracks, but what the roads are called up north at my cabin. These tracks are not considered real roads; they are not on any maps and they are definitely not paved. Two-tracks are just two dirt tracks made by the wheels of passing cars, trucks, dirt bikes, quads and other ATVs. These roads are the only way to get to my favorite place. Baldwin Michigan is about two and a half hours north of here, between Big Rapids and Cadillac. This is also where my family’s cabin is. There are not too many things to do inside, that’s why I like it. The cabin itself is a two bedroom, one bathroom log cabin; it’s on about half an acre of land. There are an abundance of trees so even though we have neighbors on all sides, we cant hear or see them if we don’t want to. The cabin is my favorite place to hang out because of all the people, and the fun stuff to do.

The small trail we were on turned out to be a dirt bike track, so the quads were too wide to be on it. There was no way that we could turn around so we just kept going. I was leading the way and we came to a sharp corner and then a drop off! This was about to be the scariest moments of my life. As I approached the corner I slammed on my breaks and turned to the left. My back, right wheel fell off the ledge and I could only hope that my mom was going slowly enough behind me that she wasn’t going to push me off the cliff. I was still sliding until I wedged up against a tree. This tree saved my quad and me from falling off the cliff and into the rocky lake beneath. We made it safely back to the cabin
