As we see, Art continuously change though out the time for intending of expression. Thus, that is the reason why the art works with various of characteristics to carry political statement by the artists. Artists live, see, and feel the world with social issues and political climate of their time. They constrained to speak out and use their arts to make political statement.
In early 20thcentury, society and technologies were nonstop changing. Artists were also influenced by new society. They gradually left behind what former standard in Fine Art and adopt new techniques and methods to take further the advancement of creating what they saw to make new standard of Art. Therefore, we can find numerous examples of modern arts where artists had been influenced over the actions and fate of entire societies. Historically, art has been used as a tool to change and shape both national and international political conditions.
Modern Art is embraced roughly between1867-1975. Major movements of modern art are Impressionism, Cubism, Surrealism, Abstract Expressionism, and Pop Art. Under human vision, modern art pieces reflect the changing of technological, social, scientific, and political changes. I will be discussing about art movements changing and how artists created their arts throughout period of time.
Neoclassicism began in the 18thcentury and continued until the middle of the 19th century. This movement is implied through creative art works of the painter Jacques-Louis David, the sculptor, Antonio Canova. Neoclassical style in painting is simplicity, heroism, stoic virtue, and austerity traditionally associated with Roman civilization and Greek style. Thus "neo" in Greek means "new". One of samples of neo classical painter was the neoclassical French artist Jacques-Louis David (1784-1825). He was the role de facto minister of propaganda after French Revolution broke out in 1789.
