Course Aims
This course aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the research, theory and practices of training and development within the organization and to prepare the student as a potential practitioner in a management role, as a specialist working within an organization, or as an external consultant working with a range of organizations.
Course Objectives
On completion of the course the participants will be able to:
1. understand the operational concepts essential to the development of a successful training and development program,
2. isolate those situations in which training will be effective and be able to suggest alternatives when training will not be effective,
3. develop simple training interventions and manage training interventions when they do not possess the required skills,
4. cost and evaluate training programs.
