5. Tian Tan Buddha
After visiting the Ngong Ping Village of Ngong Ping 360, the next station of the tour is Tian Tan Buddha. The Tian Tan Buddha is a major tourist attraction in Hong Kong as it is the world's largest, outdoor, bronze Big Buddha statue; it has more than 15 years.
Our team chooses Tian Tan Buddha as the second station of the tour since Tian Tan Buddha is a major centre of Buddhism in Hong Kong and is a good place to relax people's vexation. We will spend around half hour in here and experience a special feeling.
5.1 Time Schedule
Once leaving the Ngong Ping village, our tour guide will bring the tourists to go to the Tian Tan Buddha with just a 5-minute walk since the majestic statue is adjacent to Ngong Ping Village and the Po Lin Monastery. When they are arriving, it is around 4:05pm.
5.2 1st Stop Climb Up to the Big Buddha
Tourists have to climb for 268 steps in order to reach the Big Buddha; they may feel the Buddha statue is very magnificent as the Big Buddha is 34 meters (112ft.) tall, weighs 250 metric tons (280 short tons).
Even though tourists may feel tired after climbing up for such many steps, it is worth to do so since tourists can merit a better view. After climbing up to the Big Buddha, all tourists can look into the distance; it can be seen from as far away as Macau on a clear day.
5.2.2 The Offering of the Six
After Climbing up to the Buddha, we can see another view that is "The Offering of the Six". Six small Buddha are offering flowers, incense, lamp, ointment, fruit, and music to the Buddha. It is symbolize charity, morality, patience, zeal, meditation, and wisdom, all of which are necessary to enter into nirvana. You may take photo on them to capture the memory
