i. The construction of cities and some form of urban life

ii. A system of government that regulate political relations.

iii. Emergence and development of distinct social classes. The distinction is based on two related factors of wealth and occupation.

iv. Tools and specialized skills for production of goods, leading to manufacturing and trade.

v. Some of written communication, making it possible to share and preserve information.

vi. A shared system of religious belief, whose officials or priests often play a significant role in community affairs.
