Literature Review of Loong Palace Hotel

1. Introducton

Recently, with the rapid development of the Chinese economy, the numbers of hotels in China are also increasing which ushered in the rare opportunity to development. People's living standards have improved, so that the services and comfort of the hotel is the first consideration of people while they make a choice. Along with these growths, the competition of hotels becomes more and more intense, and how to survival better becomes the main problem for those hotels, especially like Beijing. Beijing Loong Palace Hotel is the five-star luxury business hotel, which has a good environment and a high quality of service. It is located in the north of Beijing and near to many commercial and technology parks. With the increase of the competitors and consumer's living standard, in order to make a better development for Loong Palace Hotel in the future, the author through literature review to research and analyze the current situation，competition environment and future development of Loong Palace hotel.

2. The currrent situation

China is a country that has the largest number of five-star hotels. Along with the rapid development of social economy and continuous improvement of consumer demand and investors' strength, five-star hotels' national evaluation standards continue to improve, and facilities and functions of products have a progress obviously. Due to the large investment, long payback period of a five-star hotel and its management is influenced by social and economic factors, makes the development of five-star hotels become common concern issues of investors andinsiders（Chris, 2012）. The below figure is about the number of China's high star hotel from 2003 to 2012.
