Human Service is to help humans meet their needs, help focus on prevention and remediation of problems and to help the quality of one's life through the services. In this paper a review of the websites explore in week two about mediation and advocacy for human services.
In divorce Mediation both parties go into a group meeting for communication and to help resolve certain problems. They will also try to resolve their own disagreements that they may have and do what is best for the children involved is. This program will focus on co-parenting and how not to put children in the middle of the adult problems and decisions. There are programs for children so that he or she can tell if an adult is putting him or her in the middle, how to use good communication skills, and help him or her be happier and not as stressed.
Child welfare mediation is mediation for child who have been abused or neglected. In this type of mediation, they help resolve disagreements, push for children to be put in a foster care permanently. Many times child welfare mediation is also refereed to as child protection mediation. There are many times that child welfare mediation want to involve the birth parents in the planning for his or her children by allowing him or her in an inclusive, confidential and non- judgmental process. With is the birth parents may have their wishes considered. The mediator will have the parents, the child's caseworkers, and attorneys or any other interested parties so he or she can discuss issues things that involve the child or children in foster care. This way everyone can all work together and come to some form of agreement to settle an issues that they may have had.
