A Journey to Explore New Fun
Dark rooms, intense atmosphere and clear heartbeat sound “Bang, bang, bang”, these are our impressions about the game called “room escape” before we tried it. Little did we know it would give us so much fun at that time.
Locked in a dark and almost empty room, we quickly started to search for every inch of the room just like a flock of ravenous wolfs looking for their food. Before long we found a mobile phone in a bag. The phone provided an important message for us to unlock a case and got a special gun, which was fired with infrared ray rather than bullets. We leapt with joy for our harvest, but soon puzzled, questioning looks came over us---- how to use it? With time passing by, we all became quiet pieces of stone, frowning and thinking. “ ‘The passcode of the case is NINE and pay attention to the monitor above the case’. What’s the meaning of the last half sentence?” I murmured to myself. An idea suddenly flashed into my mind. I fired at the small hole under the monitor with the gun. Guess what? A key dropped with a ringing “Ding” from the monitor, and meanwhile the room broke into a sea of “Wow”. Having got the vital key, the following steps were just a piece of cake for us. A short time later, a hidden door opened. A new journey was waiting for us.
Behind the door was another room and it showed that we had moved into the second part. The first part went smoothly, making us immersed in our high intelligence, without realization that the second part would be a big headache for us. First of all, we had to go across a room full of laser. We tried to bend down to pass the barrier but it failed. Staring at those annoying lines, we chirped like chickadees. “Damned laser!” a friend complained impatiently. “Well, we can’t fly like birds but we can wriggle like worms,” another friend suggested with crafty smile. “No!” I shocked my friends with a thundering objection. However, with no any other choice, we finally did so. A really big cost for me! Afterwards we made great efforts to crack password and stepped into another adytum. There came the last step that required us to use four mirrors reflecting light to open a box and get the chip. We thought it must be easy because, there were four excellent science students in our team. Nevertheless the indifferent reality proved that we were wrong in no time. In fact, four mirrors were used to confuse us and we only need three mirrors. It took us much time to realize this. Fortunately, we fulfilled the task within set time at last.
