A place that holds a memory
People have memories that are sparked my many situations. Places often make people remember experiences from the past. Many places hold memories for me: the sea, the school, and foreign countries. One particular place that reminds me of my childhood is the park in my neighborhood.
The park is located at the back of my house, so I can see it from the roof. When I was a child I could see many things: Kids playing soccer, Childs with their parents and even dogs barking at the squirrels that live on the trees. I like to spent time there almost every day, I take my notebook, my camera or my iPod and sit at the swings or near the trees. It is a great place if you like to be alone, it has many trees, so most of the soil is covered with dried leaves, and there is always a soft breeze passing by.
The park is so relaxing, since you can’t hear any sound except from the wind passing through the leaves of the trees or the squirrels making sounds as they stare at you from the top of the trees, and also that crunchy sound that leaves make as you walk by. There is a small stream nearby and you can hear the water rushing.
This is an example of a place that holds special memories for me. For I can do most of my favorite activities in it and I can be in touch with the nature. Either drawing, reading, or listening to my favorite music this place is special for me because it helps me to remember special memories and it lifts me up when I’m feeling down.
