The other day I took a long walk around my town
During this walk I took sight of a marvelous phenomenon
The transition from summer to fall
It just so happened that the first signs of fall had appeared that day
The grass was slowly losing the colour and shape it had built up during the hot summery months
Animals that had regularly showed up in the summer were less sighted now
The wind had a new crisp and cool feeling to it
Aromas of woods, spices, and baked goods filled the air all around
The clouds have all muddled into a somber grey unsaturating the once bright blue sky
And these leaves had started to sneak new hints of orange, yellow, red, and brown
The golden leaves dispersed the sun rays on the canvas of the ground
The painting of rays created a mood of warmth and love
But the canvas was littered with scattered and worn leaves
And it only reminded one of sadness
But sadness wasn't always a bad thing
Sometimes it showed how people could function and push through another day
Even on the darkest and hardest of days when they wanted to give up
How people could still create the most beautiful and inspirational work in their lives
When the weight of the world came crashing on them and slowly crushed them
Maybe if we learned from the works
