Ghost of a Girl

No one would believe that Red was friends with a girl who had just moved into the neighborhood. Even his own mother and best friend thought he was crazy because there were only three houses: Red’s own home, Green Oak’s home, and his grandfather’s laboratory. There was no other house, much less a family that had moved to the small Pallet Town.
Her name was the simple color Blue. She had eyes that matched her name, so blue that one could lost in those vast oceans. Her chocolate brown hair was very long and soft, at least that what she described it to be. She wore a little black dress that twirled when she spun, and Red loved that.
Too bad he couldn’t actually spin her himself.
It turned out that she was a spirit; she wasn’t actually alive. But Red felt that she was alive to him. Blue was the best friend he had ever had before and she claimed to be dead.
When Red went to pick his starter from Professor Oak, Blue was there alongside with him, although no one else took notice. She gasped and smiled at the variety that he could choose.
Unfortunately for Red, his rival pushed him out of the way to pick one before him. Blue scolded him for doing so, but Green couldn’t hear her. No one could except for Red. It drove him nuts.
Green got what Professor Oak called an “Eevee.” Red was amazed at the adorable pocket monster. Green smirked at him as he petted his Pokémon even more. Red picked the only other Pokémon there, a small yellow mouse. A Pikachu.
Blue was incredibly happy when Red showed her his new friend. She tried petting it, but she knew it wouldn’t work. She didn’t belong to this world. But Blue didn’t let it get to her.
As soon as Red was about to leave, Green challenged him to a battle, naturally. Red and Blue looked at each other and grinned. They knew they would win this battle.
